CDC’s Initial-Ever Healthful Swimming Video Contest

This year, to assist avert the spread of germs in swimming pools, hot tubs, interactive fountains, lakes, or oceans, the CDC’s Wholesome Swimming System is asking the public to support them educate swimmers by creating a brief, innovative video describing the basic measures everybody can take to ensure healthy swimming experiences. This video contest is getting launched in conjunction with Recreational Water Illness and Injury Prevention Week (RWIIPW), Might 23–29, 2011. RWIIPW is a national observance that focuses on educating swimmers and pool operators about wholesome and secure swimming and is currently celebrating its 7th year.
Grand Prize

The 2011 Healthy Swimming Video Contest winner will receive:

–$ 1,000, supplied by the CDC Foundation via assistance from a public-private partnership.

–The chance for their video to be observed by thousands on CDC’s Healthful Swimming Web site and CDC’s YouTube Channel.

  • July 18-22, 2011: Public voting on top rated movies will take place on the internet
  • July 25, 2011: Winner announced
